Wiring Issues

I was driving my Titan one day and the "VDC OFF" "SLIP" and "ABS" lights all came on. Took it to the dealership and was told that the wiring was melting which could cause all kinds of bad things to happen. This also affected my 4wd, it won't work. This wiring controls how the vehicle drives and what the tires need to do and such. I didn't really understand the whole thing and wondered if anyone else has ever had this problem.
