My truck goes into limp mode, but not sure why. so far replaced the controller assembly, but didn't fix the problem. next replacing the gas pedal, but not sure that will help ether. Anyone had experience with a limp mode problem in their titan? mine s a 2004 with about 120000 miles.

when you say limp mode are you saying it stalled on you somtimes at idle

Not exactly. In limp mode when drivng along normally the engine would just suddenly go to idle. It stays on, and you can still creep along. In my case, if I restarted the engine it would go normally for a few blocks, then revert to the limp mode.

They are replacing some computer part and both of the catalytic converter assemblies. Hope this works as the price is over $1500. 2005 Titan out of warranty. After reading some of the other prices I guess this was pretty reasonable. I had it done by a muffler expert. They seem to think that this will solve it as yhey have done this bsfore. Seems to be a Titan problem. The guarantee on the parts and service is five years.

Not limp mode but I have an 04 4x4 with 145K miles on it and it just shut down at a red light. Would not even turn over. replaced ipdm module and it started right up. Now the cats are going bad and I'm trying to find an alternative to the Nissan parts. They want about 1300 to do both sides with all four sensors.

Good luck! Is that a common issue for our trucks at that milage? mine is near 135K.
