No idea on the light but the pads are a breeze.

Is the pavement wet? You may have a bad sensor but if it does not do it at any other time it maybe that you are really "sliping" i know in the snow or wet roads it tends to slip more. Does the engine start to cut back? it should not come on or start to power down if you are not spinning. Have not changed my break pads yet but should not be to hard just normal disk breaks....

welcome. Crazy thing happend to me this weekend i was driving along went to stop at a stop light and all my warning lights went on and the vdc went off and i lost all my breaks! crawled under there and found out it was my break line had burst!! so you might check your break lines...new one is only 8.39 but only nissan dealer has it and it takes 3 days to get it! :(
