any gas milage improvements

has anyone ever done any improvements like cold air intake, exhaust, chip or throttle body spacer that has improved gas milage?

Permalink Reply by Ted whisler on March 13, 2010 at 9:08am: I did the nismo cold air intake, banks exhaust got a lot better after that it was around 17-18 every where my truck is a 08 pro4-x. Then I put a 3" lift on the front and a 1" in the back and a little bigger m/t tires and now i'm getting 16 every where. I have also noticed that when the gas stations switch to the ethanol in the winter it gets 1-2 mpg worse. now in the phoenix area they use it year around which sucks @$$!! There is a lot of info about gas, a lot of them are myths so be careful what you believe. ethanol burns faster than gas but not as hot so you loose power and mpg when you use it! I don,t drive my truck often but the only thing I,ve found that really works for milage is to slow down. I made a trip from central washington to Salem Oregon and back. about 720 miles and got 16.7 mpg!!! BUTTT I drove 60 on cruise the whole way.
This is great milage for a Titan with the tow pkg. I just can,t stand 60mph very long.
I just haven,t seen any other add on, or magic elixer that works.

Seriously though, Cold Air Intake will increase your HP and give you a little better fuel economy. Exhaust seems to make mine just sound better and deeper.
