Has anyone installed an electronic trailer brake on their Titan? I hooked the pigtail into the under dash harness but cannot get any juice through the hot wire. Do I need to install a fuse or breaker somewhere? I have checked the fuse box and all fuses seem to be there and working but still no juice through the harness to the brake control. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

I had one istalled on my 2008 Titan by Hitches Etc. It works just fine. I tow a 21ft. toy hauler that has an empty weight of 4100lbs. No problems stopping.

Thats 1 nice thing if the truck has a tow package there is a little white plug next to the e brake pedel just go to a camper store and tell them what you have and you just have to plug it in. The guy at the camper store even pointed to the plug for me to help me find it. My toy hauler is an RPM and is 4700 empty and with it loaded it stops just fine.

Take it to trailer and hitch specialist and let them correctly install it. Thats what I did on my 2008 titan and it works just great, it probably wont cause you more than $40 dollars for labor.

My 08 came with factory wiring. Just plug controller in and you should be good to go. Maybe the proble is with the controller or trailer wiring?

Check the brake unit you bought, it should be plug and go. If you know where the plug is it is a do it your self project even for mech challenged people like my self.

jUST BOUGHT MY TITAN AND INSTALLED MY ELECTRIC BRAKE. IT DIDNT WORK AT FIRST AND I ASSUMED I POPPED A FUSE. THERE ARE FUSES FOR THE CONTROLLER IN THE DASH & UNDER THE HOOD. ALL MINE WERE GOOD. sINCE MY TRUCK IS USED, I CLEANED THE 7 PIN CONNECTOR W/ ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER AND LUBED IT W/ DIELECTRIC GREASE AND VIOLA! CRAPPY CONTACTS WERE THE PROBLEM. HOPE THIS HELPS

I had the same issue, even thought I got the tow kit, go to the dealer (they are the only ones that have them) and ask for the Relay kit. it cost me 140 dollars and they will provide you three relays. Once you have them open your hood and look at the back on the passenger side you will see a cover lift it and look at the diagram and install the three relays you will find the brakes, the brake lights and the turn signals will all work.
Good Luck
