Hmm see if this works this time .I had the same prob with my manifolds both were cracked at around 40k and i could hear and feel the diff. but i finally took it in at 60k, and had them replaced under warranty. Im no tech but has to be do to the heat at which they should replace or recall if happens to others. (just my opinion)..

I'm thinking the only thing that would cause this is operating in high water. This happened to me on my Xterra

I wandered were the fish under the hood came from, I just don't remember taking both of my nissans swimming. please just 1 more problem in a long line of recalls, don't pay for it.

How did you do that....I have 98000 miles and they told me it's not under warranty

I thought the warranty only went to 80k miles? I have 86k on mine and my driver-side manifold is definitely cracked.

Yeah I have 06 both manifolds cracked @ 30k I have 36k on it now and I think I hear the exhaust leak again I think they might be cracked again. i take off roading it might be the water or the mud getting on it causing this.

I have an 08 with 25,000 miles, no problem with cracked manifolds yet. Has the problem continued in 08 or later modles? Anyone had cracking in less than 30,000 miles?

I just had my 2005 Titan exhaust manifold replaced under warranty by my local dealer. They just happened to have one in stock (small miracle) but couldn't tell me why the miracle occurred. Who stocks an expensive manifold unless there's a known issue? Once I discovered this is a common issue, I told them thanks for the warranty work, that's probably all you'll ever see me for again. Ask your dealer if the Federal EPA emissions 8 year, 80k law might apply to exhaust components upstream of the catalytic converter.

Better yet, read the federal emissions law at http://www.epa.gov/oms/consumer/warr95fs.txt and take a copy to your dealer. Knowledge is truly power. They do not have a choice in the matter if you are protected under the law. Exhaust manifolds are explicitly cited in this law.

Good luck.

I have had 3 cracked manifolds on my 2005 Titan. They have been covered under emissions warranty till 80,000
Miles. Now I have 86,000 and my third manifold they want $850 for. I think Nissan has a problem with these Manifolds and they all need to be replaced!

I just wrote a post about my manifolds cracking... Guess I should have looked first, lol, maybe I would have seen this post.

Oh well, I'm new here, so I'm sure I'll learn the ropes sooner or later.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna pull my manifold off tomorrow, and see what I might be able to figure out, as to why so many people are having problems, & why they seem to keep cracking.

I'll post my findings as soon as I do.
