Does anyone have the directions on how to remove the 6 disc player from the dash.
My unit is the Rockford 6 Disc with the speaker on top in the middle.
I have been told by someone at the dealer that there is a plug at the back of the unit for a sirius radio.

You are correct, however it also uses a direct plug. I am using the plug on the front. my problem is that i don't like the wires hanging over the dash.
My plan is to pull the center channel speaker and mount the docking hardware where the navigation system would sit. then the wires can be hidden.
So do you have any info for removing the top center assembly. i really don't want to break any tabs or damage the dash.

Thanx for your reply.

I didn't get the Navigation on my Titan, only the fosgate 6cd changer system... So mine just has that little pad on the top of the dash, just above the stereo bezel. I mounted the dock for my Sirius head unit, on that pad. The Stereo bezel is fairly easy to pop right out, because its only held in by clips... just be careful where you pry!
I drilled holes in the top tray, just under that little mat, and used all the wiring supplied with my Sirius system, except for the FM modulator. I found an "Aux in" adapter, that plugs in behind that bezel, to the false radio front, and ran all the cables behind it. I just had to get a little creative, and tee the wires in the connector, so that when I want to listen to my iPod, I just leave the stereo in Aux mode, pull the sirius off the dock, and plug the iPod 3.5mm adapter plug, into the "Aux in" jack, on the outside of that bezel.
I had it hooked up only for the Sirius at first, and the outside Aux-in jack was just a dummy, but I got tired of not being able to listen to my iPod, so that was when I went back in and tee'd the connector. only problem is that I have to make sure I don't have both of them plugged in at the same time... I'm not sure if it can do any damage to either the Sirius, or the iPod, but I don't want to take any chances!

Also, something I found out later, is that some of the stereo's were equipped with wiring for satellite radio systems, pre-wired, and some weren't. If yours was, then Nissan sells the adapter plug, that connects directly to the stereo. That adapter may, or may not work with sirius, I don't know. As I said, I found out later, just from word of mouth. You'd have to talk to your local dealer to find out for sure.

As for the "Aux-In" jack adapter, I got it from an installation kit, complete with a new bezel that has the ISO-DIN opening, for putting in an aftermarket stereo. I bought it a while ago, because I already have a radio with Navigation/CD/DVD/Back-up Camera-pretty much everything, but I don't quite know how to install it, and retain all the functionality of the current stereo system - especially since there's a separate amplifier in the system, for all the different speakers. And I don't know just how many other systems are incorporated into the factory stereo system. On my chrysler, the memory positions for driver 1 and 2, on the driver seat, were incorporated into the factory stereo, as well as the garage door controller.
If my titan is the same way, then I just may have to settle for a Tom-Tom, a stand-alone, flip-down DVD player, and a sun visor monitor with a back-up camera - system...
Anyway, I seem to have a tendency to ramble on and on, so I'm gonna cut this short...
So, until I find out more...

Hope this helps!
